VALORANT has a bundle called Doodle Buds, and this time there is no guessing game: Ahri herself appears directly on the skin, in her K/DA form alongside the rest of the group. The Doodle Buds Phantom is built around a colouring-book concept. It starts out as a simple black-and-white line drawing, and scoring kills gradually fills it in with colour. Land five kills in a single round, and the whole weapon lights up in full colour.
The Phantom is the only weapon in the bundle whose League of Legends variant includes K/DA, meaning it is the only Doodle Buds gun where Ahri appears in her K/DA (All Out EP) form, alongside Akali, Evelynn, Kai’Sa, and Seraphine. The wider League of Legends variant art also features champions like Teemo, Jinx, Draven, Annie, Viego, Yorick, and Tahm Kench, but Ahri is the one worth zooming in on.
Ahri Makes the Cut
Unlike Moondash, where the nine-tailed fox connection to Ahri was left to speculation, Doodle Buds leaves nothing to the imagination. The League of Legends variant explicitly includes K/DA Ahri and her groupmates, no Easter-egg hunting required. For anyone in this community, the League of Legends variant is the clear pick, putting K/DA Ahri directly on your loadout rather than leaving her presence up for debate.

You can buy the Doodle Buds Phantom on its own for 1,775 VP, or as part of the full Doodle Buds bundle for 6,992 VP. Each weapon skin, including the Phantom, can display any of three variants: Agents, Tactifriends, or League of Legends, so you’ll need to select the League of Legends variant to get Ahri on your gun. Doodle Buds first dropped on April 12th, 2022 with Patch 4.07 (Episode 4 Act 2), and since it’s a Premium-Edition bundle, it isn’t a permanent store fixture — the individual skins now cycle back through daily Featured Store offers. So if you spot the Phantom or the Shorty in your shop, don’t sleep on it; grab it while it’s there.
Ahri Also Shows Up on the Shorty
The Phantom isn’t the only place she turns up, either. The Shorty’s League of Legends variant also features Ahri, standing alongside Teemo, Ekko, Yuumi, Jinx, Renekton, and Rammus. This is regular Ahri rather than her K/DA form (the K/DA lineup is exclusive to the Phantom and the League of Legends player card), but it confirms that this community’s favourite fox is doodled into more than one gun in the bundle.
Overall, Doodle Buds is a fun, low-key addition to VALORANT’s cosmetic lineup, and for once, it’s not a matter of reading into fox ears or tail motifs — Ahri is simply there, doodled in on both the Phantom and the Shorty, in full K/DA company on the former.
